Allow me to introduce myself. I am a self-taught painter. For years, my road has been a succession of trials.
“Painting is a self-expression”
This expression is so difficult to reach. For the last 30 years, I tried so many times to express myself through painting. But the results did not reflect me. I could not succeed in expressing who I truly am. My paintings were very nice looking but empty of any expression. The essence I needed to share was missing. I put away my brushes and thought that this form of art was not for me.
However, life is a great and patient teacher and after many years full of enriching experiences, including a few very trying ones, this self-expression emerged. Creation after creation, my style, my brand, my authenticity came to light. Eureka! The very emotions I had so long searched for were finally there to share.
Now, I can finally deploy my creative power. I live my passion in a harmonious way, with discipline, constancy and perseverance. Each creation helps me in my evolution towards a greater expression of who I am. And especially towards my contribution through my art: Making people happy.
Paintings signed by Lalie
One of my grandchildren, Sara-Maude, gave me that such lovely name, Lalie, 12 years ago. Her sisters, brothers, cousins followed that tradition. So since that day, we are grandpa Andrew and Lalie. My adoptive family is the source of who I am today. This family so precious for me.
With great pleasure let me share with you my collections.
